For over 35 years, ceramic artist Peter Bowen has been transforming raw clay into exquisite pieces of functional art. The Artist's Journey
Peter's artistic foundation was laid at the prestigious West of England College of Art in Bristol, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. This classical training, combined with four decades of ceramic exploration, has created a unique approach to pottery that stands out in today's mass-produced world.

The Magic of Creation
"I enjoy making ceramics from forming wet clay into a solid art form is like creating magic...! When clay is worked it is possible to create functional shapes and forms."
Each piece undergoes a meticulous two-week drying process before entering the first firing stage. The bisque firing at 998°C (1,828°F) transforms the clay into ceramic material, ready to receive Peter's signature lead-free, food-safe glazes. A second firing at 1,031°C (1,888°F) creates the final glossy finish, resulting in pieces that are both beautiful and practical - microwave and dishwasher safe.
Beyond Ceramics
Peter's artistic expression extends beyond pottery to watercolor paintings, featuring quirky scenes of buildings with washing lines, primarily executed in pen and ink. His work has garnered international recognition, with exhibitions throughout North America and the United Kingdom.
